Between pedagogy and studies, consultancy for international organizations and contribution to media and civil society activities, Endrit Shabani is today one of the dozens of successful Albanians in the West. When he was just a visitor to France, he dreamed of becoming a student in those halls and never would have believed that he would return there as a lecturer. Very impressive was his journey from Tirana to one of the most prestigious universities on the planet such as Oxford, becoming an excellent ambassador of Albanian values in the world.
Endrit's teaching has left a profound impact on the way that I perceive the world around me. He has taught me the importance of raising questions and being inquisitive. Being a student in Endrit's class really invigorated my love for politics and standing up for what you believe in, and for that I am always grateful.
If there's one thing that I am sure of regarding academia it is that it takes one incredibly skilled professor of research methods to make a student truly successful. Another thing that I'm sure of is that I actually had the chance to find one in Dr. Shaban.
As a teacher, I am fully convinced that Shabani was the most dedicated professor I have ever known; with his invested efforts in both teaching and caring for students, the course is absorbing and highly qualified, exceeding far beyond any of my expectations. As an academic, I am amazed by his talents, hard-working nature, and his firm adherence to the standards in academic quality and ethics.
Endrit engaged us with his clear intelligence and passion for the law. But perhaps what has made him stand out most is that he truly believed in each and every one's potential and he went above and beyond in supporting us achieve our dreams over the years since we met him. The time, effort and above all sincerity he lends each of his students speaks volumes about his character.
